Should Students Play Games in School?

Games should be played in our schools. It helps children to develop in their thinking and learning skills. It also helps them to improve the coordination of their hands, creativity and problems solving. There are alot of educational games on the market to help them to advance to another level. These games helps to provide both computer-based instruction and track and report on student progress.

  1. "Earobics" is a computer-based program that I play with a group of kindergarten students for about 15 minutes each morning. The students love this game, and they are learning more about sound patterns as well. This program also keeps track of each student's progress, which is amazing for me. With one click, I can see where my students were and where they are now. When we began this program, I would have the students point to the answer on the screen, and I would click the answer for them. Now, several of them have been practicing their mouse skills and are able to click the answers themselves. Games are a great resource for teachers and students. We have to monitor carefully though!
